Happy Halloween,
I had the pleasure of exploring a less familiar October landscape: the suburbs of Los Angeles. Sunbathing skeletons, cobwebbed cacti, palms, pumpkins, and morning light… this series was a joy to create, I hope you’ll enjoy.
Yesterday I shared a small preview of the canyon landscapes I’ll be processing next week – quite the range of textures on this trip, I can’t wait to share more.
This last image is where the whole theme clicked for me. Palm trees, pumpkins, the parrot flocks of Pasadena, I was moved by the color palette of this whole region.
👻 Special thanks to my ghoulish guides, Tavis and Carly. From the appropriately hyped Haunted Hayride in Griffith Park to the infamous Michael Myers hedges in South Pasadena, I’ve been having the most amazing Halloween 👻
Coincidentally, Tavis has an LP that has been essential in my editing soundtrack. If you haven’t heard Slow Coda, I suggest starting with a track called World Of Motion, and go from there. If you like my photos, ya might appreciate this album cover ;)
Have a terrifyingly fun holiday and eat all your candy at once,
PM
